Walking safaris

Walking safaris give you the opportunity to really experience African wildlife and truly immerse yourself in nature. Our walking safaris are available in Kruger National Park, Hwange National Park, and Okavango Delta. We always recommend that our travelers book at least one walking safari as the experience is very unique and highly differs from a game drive. Walking safaris were the original African safari experience, allowing you to get a better look at insects, animal tracks, and our ecosystem.

Walking safaris usually last around two to four hours depending on your personal preference and what terrain you’d like to cover. Your walking safari will be accompanied by your nature guide as well as certified park rangers. One or more of your park rangers may be armed if you’re venturing into big game areas in order to ensure your safety. Discover interesting plant life, endemic insect species, and smaller wildlife that aren’t easily viewed from a vehicle. While walking safaris are available in most of the national parks here in Southern Africa, each experience varies considerably due to scenery and terrain.
