Bird Watching
Africa is home to 2341 bird species, making all the Southern African countries a bird-watching paradise. We welcome bird watchers from around the world to discover all the incredible bird species that are endemic to our continent. Our bird-watching safaris and tours are available in Kruger National Park, Hwange National Park, Chobe National Park, and Okavango Delta. There are many wildlife reserves throughout Southern Africa that have spectacular bird watching opportunities that we’re happy to explore with you.
South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana are all highly versatile locations with differing terrain home to numerous, endemic bird species. Bird watching enthusiasts can enjoy the abundant bird watching opportunities throughout our national parks and private lodges. Bird watching tours through national parks will be accomplished via safari vehicles that are used on game drives as well. Safari vehicles can typically accommodate up to 10 people and are designed for all-day comfort. Your nature guide will take you on an exclusive tour to discover all the different, elusive birds while offering in-depth insight regarding each species. Some national parks will have rest areas with great bird-watching structures for an incredible view. Many of the private lodges we’ve partnered with provide the best bird watching opportunities by their man-made watering holes. Lounge at your lodge’s pool area for some relaxing bird watching or jump on one of the safari vehicles to explore the private land.
